Adventure notes:

Wetterhorn Peak stands tall at 14,015’ in the San Juan mountain range of Colorado. We departed Denver, our Jeep bursting with gear, snacks and friends, with our compass pointed toward Uncompahgre National Forest. Our ascent began well before sunrise; we climbed quickly, silently and peacefully toward the summit, the stars lighting our path. We navigated our way through rugged terrain, exposed pitches, steep climbs and high wind as the morning light christened nearby peaks. Taken by the jagged peaks and rich colors of the San Juan’s, we took our time at the summit to bask in the glory.
